Love this app. The beat sync tech is amazing at helping you keep up your pace.
**Update after re-reading myself: Although it may appear so given my raving review, I am NOT associated in any way with Lolo. Just to make thongs clear.** I just enrolled for a marathon, scheduled to take place in May, 2013. Jeff Galloways training method seemed appropriate on the long run (pun intended), so I started looking at Lolos Marathon app, but found it a bit pricey, for something I knew nothing about, appwise. After writing to Lolos team, and many emails back and forth, I followed Chris recommendation and bought the 10K app. I just love it. Galloways tips get in my ears right on time, not too often, not too rarely, and his voice is actually quite soothing, not annoying like I feared. Getting a real voice telling me when to start running, instead of a computerized one, is a nice change. If you know Galloway and like his training method, youll find exactly what youre looking for in terms of a training program. If you dont like the run-walk-run method, you can still enjoy this app, since there is an option to set your pace at “Just run!”, and even one to shut up Galloway himself, while still benefiting from the other features of the app. And the music... Wow. Having my songs accelerate and still sound like the real thing when I run, and decelerate when I walk, still sounding just perfect, is simply amazing, and very stimulating. That alone is worth $3.99. Perfect? Nothing is. The interface takes a few minutes to get used to, and the app doesnt (yet) support my Wahoo sensors (hence a missing star). Some people have complained about the music starting when the app launches, but I know a new release is coming soon, and that this will be changed, so Ill not complain about this small issue, only mentionning it here to show that Lolo listens to their customers, and THAT is a nice thing (and too rare in the app world). After my first tryout, I again had some email exchanges with Chris, from Lolo, discussing the app. I was left very impressed by the great support Lolo offers. After I finish my Easy 10K training with Jeff Galloway, I will most definitely buy the Marathon app, even at its current price ($19.99 at the time I wrote this review). Thanks, Lolo!
I use this app in combination with 2 others. Wish there was just a run-walk app without the training program as I use a different program. This update vastly improved the battery usage, finally didnt have to charge my phone while on a 10 mile run.
Great value, love that gives a treadmill conversion option. Only down side is wish you could add notes such as time of day, how youre feeling, etc and way to note other workouts that would sent it over the top to allow for one app to review training in. Would definitely recommend for newbies or experienced runners.
Excellent app for running. Im waiting for update for new iOS. Now every training time I have to setup all preferences.

Some bad moments

Looks good, sounds good, but killed my battery on my first run with it after only 5km!! How could it ever get me to 10km?!?!? Nice try. I really wanted a good interval timer and this was looking promising. I would rate it higher based on the potential of the actual program, but whats the point when the phone is dead. And you cant manually edit workouts on the website- another lame point. Sad waste of $4.
I am a huge fan of Jeff Galloway and have read several of his books. I bought this application with the expectation of making my running easier by having his methodology already set for my ipod. Day three of week 1 consisted of a one hour with not always clear or consistent prompts, at times it would say "lets get ready for a 3 minute run" and then extend it for longer than that. Also I was a bit surprised that Week 1 consisted of two 24 min workouts and then on day 3 jump to an hour; it felt like a lot - not gradual at all. I think the app is buggy and /or inconsistent. It seems safer to just train for a 10K using any of his training programs from his books, knowing what each day of training will consist on; instead of having an unpleasant surprise like this. I still fully recomend Jeff Galloway and his method; just not at all this application.
I moved to a new city and consequently away from a great Galloway group I met with :(. Theres no groups near my new location. I was sooo excited to find this app and Im very pleased with it! My only complaint is that theres no half marathon or marathon one available yet! I hope to see one soon!
The app worked fine the first two runs and then crashed on the 3rd. I had to power off my iPhone twice before it finally came powered on. By that time I used my Garmin watch for the run. Unfortunately, since the app crashed my phone I was unable to use it the iPod feature.
I love this app! Hoping for a 1/2 and full marathon version to go with it. Thank you so much Jeff Galloway for helping me become a runner.
